Values

  • I believe in human-centered work, with careful use of AI as a research tool and a deep understanding of implications of its use.
  • I continue to educate myself on current trends and issues and look at my life as one long opportunity to learn.
  • Sustainability is not just a term, but a lifestyle. I look at it from many angles and many different uses of the word. I ensure my work is something that is appropriate and adaptable.

Brenna C Reilly, Principal Planner & Investigator

For the better part of the last decade, I have devoted myself to studying and understanding the built environment and its complexities. While completing dual master’s degrees at the University at Buffalo, I held several positions that cultivated a broad and versatile skill set. After graduating, I applied those skills across a range of roles: freelance drafting and preservation work, program coordination for a nonprofit, and three years as a planning consultant at CPL Architecture, Engineering & Planning. Those experiences sharpened my abilities and confidence, culminating in the launch of BCRC in late 2025.

Brenna earned her BA in History from St. Bonaventure University in 2009. She returned for her Masters in both Urban Planning (MUP) and Architecture (MArch) and Graduate Certificate in Historic Preservation from the University at Buffalo, graduating in 2021.
